A Message from Roz Fisher, Specialist CV and Résumé Writer: Your CV needs to pass the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), or "CV scanning software." It needs to be plain and simple in black and white, with no frills, borders, tables, self-rating charts, icons, images or colours. If your CV resembles a magazine layout, scrapbook page or advertisement banner, it will not pass the scanners.
