There are many reasons people don’t want to admit they may have a CV problem.
It’s easy to identify the people who have a problem with their CV. They are the ones who have applied for hundreds of positions with no results.
IT’S EASY TO BLAME EVERYTHING ELSE
In a lot of cases a parent, sibling, spouse or partner created the CV and you don’t want to hurt their feelings.
Consider this though- if the same person fixed your car and it continued to break down each time you drove it, would you let them keep fixing it? Or would you take it to a professional?
In other cases, people created their CV themselves and don’t want to admit that they may have failed.
Sometimes people don’t want to consider there might be an issue with their CV because that will require effort on their part to fix it. And they don’t actually know HOW to fix it.
So it’s easier to blame the job market, or the scanning software, or everyone else who is more qualified, or the stupid employers who can’t see your worth.
